Club Hill Climb on Sat 1st October 2016
Hill climb will be this coming Saturday, for the first time in the last 6 years the defending champion won't be able to attend. Rumour has it the club has convinced his wife to take him away for his wedding anniversary, or he's scared of the competition from a flying Sean Quinn, Graham Smith or some of the other club members.
Meeting point is at Newmains Cross as usual for 9am, and along to Bonkle Road/Allanton Road for the start at approx 10am. You'll be able to ride the course pre-event and work out a strategy.
Start of the hill climb is fairly flat, with a gradual climb for the first half, then after a left hand turn it's downhill for about 300 metres. Left again, then it's uphill to the finish. It's steeper at the bottom than the top. Do you save energy to go quicker at the end, or all out at the slowest section of the climb?

Club Calendar has also been re-instated on the website after a small mishap. Link via home page or here: http://www.lawwheelers.com/p/law-wheelers-calendar_25.html
