North Coast 500 Diary Day 1 24-29th NC500 Club (8-13) Jaunt Day 1 – Inverness to Torridon 115 mls (2400m) Temp in low teens with modest South Westerly wind (Support (Bill) to Torridon then meet after Achnasheen for rest of run). Head through Muir of Ord, Beauly & Garve for pit stop at burger bar. Damp/windy down to Loch Carron golf club house for main stop. Small climb over to Kishorn before the Ba (main climb of journey) in low cloud from about 300 ft & swirly wind. Controlled descents in cloud to Applecross for regrouping before last coast section (roller coaster) to Torridon.
