Law Wheelers Cycling Club

North Coast 500 - Day 6 –Rogart to Inverness 68 mls (890m). Cooler & overcast but warming later in light S wind. Kept off A9 by going past loch Buidhe on single track road to Boner Bridge for all then lose B for van. Last big climb of journey over Struie hill to Evanton for shop stop (no coffee!). On to finish through Dingwall, Muir of Ord to retrace start of 500. (Cameraman on strike due to being burst, so serious lack of photos on day 6.) Summary of miles for Bd, Cs, Ds, Dw, Gi, Jp & Sq - 534 mls with 10000m of climb with varying averages. Group miles = 3517 with 66000m of climb. No punctures/1 broken cable/1 broken spoke/1 wrong saddle & a couple of chain derailments & an above average temp. An amazing adventure, lucked out with the weather - you'd never imagine half of the trouble we'd have on this trip was over heating.
